Something I was working with last week that got away from me..

Old Red
A cool discovery riding down the road yesterday, an old ford caught my eye sitting in a random driveway, a block down the street I came across this beauty just begging to have it’s picture taken.. A bit of extra treatment in photoshop with this one for effect, non hdr but I really wanted the red to pop to try to bring what I saw in the moment to the picture.. I got a few other shots of this with the minolta on kodak 400tx which I am dying to get developed to!!

Taken earlier this afternoon playing with popsicle sticks in the snow. (No, I guess I really didn’t have anything better to do) Direct Positive treatment for the color, not so sure about the framing with this one but square seemed to be the way to go. The colors bleeding out into the snow was a nice side effect, it gave me an idea to play with if we ever see this much snow in Texas again anytime soon..

COMPLIMENTS TO THE WIND – Jewel for Landscape
In our garden all the birds always fly to the arms of walnut-tree. My little daughter falls asleep best under the treetop of old pear-tree… And the idle apple-tree next to forest has the sweetest apples I’ve ever eaten.
Do you gather up wild rose’s hips? And what about dear house-guardiens, elderberries?
What amount of trees, places, springs…
I believe we are able to thank for those magical moments, but nevertheless…
You can find a beautiful stone and bring it to the radices. As well as our grand-grandmothers had sent daisy-chains over the river or as our grand-grandfathers had built stone crosses in fields.

The one sure thing about time is that it keeps moving forward. Weekend’s almost here.
This image captures exactly how I’ve been feeling this week: grainy, out of focus, blurry – while everything else around me is rock-solid. Well, at least the inanimate things.
I wonder if I’d be any good as a barista?
Oh, and I look a lot like my dad in this shot, for whatever that’s worth.
