so, we’re heading off on a little christmas/new year excursion to Mexico. There’s a family reunion, and then a wedding to shoot, both outside Puerto Vallarta. we’ll be gone from wednesday until jan. 5
This week the temperatures in PV are predicted to be in the ’80s. There are margaritas available poolside.
I love the snow, pretty much, but I am not unhappy to be leaving it behind for a bit.

christmas card tree
The Christmas issue of Australian Better Homes and Gardens featured a christmas card tree made out of old cards. Simply cut the card in half and construct a christmas tree silhouette bluetacking them to the wall.
Here is the one I made for Christmas.
BHG tip: lay the cards out on the floor first to perfect your outline.
My tips: Use a spirit level to get the cards level if you are a little pedantic like me!
Use a small angel card for the top, if you dont have one cut an angel image from a larger card, or cut a star out of a gold coloured card.

So this is our christmas tree! It sits right opposite the sofa in the other room, so you can see right through the house to it. It’s really quite nice, and framed nicely by the curtains to the back garden I think. Shame we’re gonna have to take it down this week. Was nice to look at for a while!
